Ogassapian to LBCI: Status quo in Lebanon is the result of Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria

Future Bloc MP Jean Ogassapian stated that what happened in Bir al-Abed is the beginning of a real confrontation between Hezbollah and the opposition parties in Syria that may be numerous, pointing out that such incidents started with Hezbollah's decision to intervene in the Syrian crisis.  
             
He stressed in an interview with LBCI's “Nharkom Said” that the ongoing security breaches, especially those targeting the international highway to Syria come in light of the entry of tons of explosives into Lebanon according to security information provided by the CIA.                                   
Ogassapian also declared that Hezbollah can not protect itself through adopting security measures, adding that the solution lies within a political process.                              

"When a government is formed, and institutions resume their work regularly, all armed parties in Lebanon will not be able to take any decision that may drag the country to the unknown," he concluded.
