12 kg of cocaine seized at Beirut International airport

Customs of Beirut airport thwarted on Sunday an attempt to smuggle 12 kilograms of cocaine into Lebanon coming from Nigeria.

The drugs were reportedly found in the possession of a man who arrived from the Nigerian city of Kano.

The Custom service of the Rafic Hariri International Airport seized the drugs , arrested the man and referred him to the Anti-Drug office for further investigation.

No further information was given in this regard.
