Car of man abducted in Ferzol found on Riyaq-Deir Znoun road

A black Mercedes that belongs to a 51-year-old Lebanese man identified as Fathallah Matta Fathallah al-Hiyali, was found burnt on the Riyaq-Deir Znoun road.

It is worth noting that the whereabouts of Hiyali, who was kidnapped yesterday (Friday) in the Bekaa town of Ferzol, are still unknown.

Lebanon is reeling from a wave of kidnap-for-ransom while sectarian abductions caused by the war in Syria are also taking place.

Lebanon is deeply divided along sectarian lines and between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
