Chatah to LBCI: War in Syria will not end as Syrian regime clings to power

Former Minister Mohammad Chatah stressed on Wednesday that the war in Syria will continue, noting that "it will not end upon a UN Security Council resolution on Syria's chemical weapons".

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, Chatah said "there is no end to the Syrian war as long as the regime [of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad] is clinging to power," noting that the unprecedented support of Russia and Iran to the Syrian regime constitutes a "problem" in Syria.
