Minister Abboud says Lebanon's economy better than various other countries

Caretaker Minister of Tourism Fady Abboud said on Saturday that all Lebanese parties are aware of the number of Lebanese citizens migrating from Lebanon, adding that the figures are unacceptable with respect to the Syrian refugees entering the Lebanese territories.             

Minister Abboud told LBCI during Nharkom Said that Lebanese citizens are no longer working in some sectors such as construction, agriculture, and industry, stressing that the price for exporting Lebanese items into the Gulf countries has increased since this activity is no longer taking place via the Syrian borders.                    

Minister Abboud said that the economic cost for the displaced Syrians is increasing, adding that Lebanon's economy may be facing a critical situation although even though it is better than various other countries.          

On another note, Minister Abboud said that a national unity cabinet made up from different Lebanese factions may not be able to take appropriate decisions and resolve some conflicting issues.
