MP Fatfat to LBCI: Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Nasrallah is funding and arming Arab Democratic Party

MP Ahmad Fatfat said on Monday that Hezbollah is attempting to hold other parties responsible for Lebanon's internal issues, noting that investigations in Tripoli's twin blasts are ongoing.

MP Fatfat's comments were made during a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV show, during which he accused Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah of funding and arming the Arab Democratic Party.

He also noted that Hezbollah is plotting to drive the country into political void, mainly in terms of the presidential position.

The port city of Tripoli has long been a stronghold of Sunni Islamists in northern Lebanon.

But the city has become increasingly volatile in recent months due to the civil war in neighboring Syria, where the Sunni majority is leading a revolt against President Bashar al-Assad.
