Two men escape death as truck caught fire on Sidon-Tyre highway

The state-run National News Agency reported on Sunday that a pickup truck caught fire on Sidon-Tyre highway.

The agency added that a Lebanese national identified as Mohammad Fawwaz from the northern village of Saksakiyeh and another colleague were inside the truck when the fire erupted but managed to escape.

This as an ambulance transported both men to a nearby hospital as Civil Defense units rushed to the scene of the accident to extinguish the fire.
