Sayegh to LBCI: Some wish Lebanon to become land of messages
Daoud Al Sayegh, advisor of former PM Saad Hariri, told Nharkom Said TV show that Lebanon is taken hostage by regional conflicts, adding that some wish for Lebanon to become once again the land of exchanging messages.

Sayegh added that other countries will send peacekeepers to replace the French troops who withdraw from the UNIFIL.   Speaking on Friday’s Maronite meeting in Bkerke, Sayegh voiced surprise because the issue of the electoral law is raised at a time when all attention should be drawn to the regional developments.

Sayegh added that the participants did not adopt the Orthodox project, rather regarded it as an equation that can be looked into. Speaking on the regional incidents, Sayegh said that the Arab Spring will press on, adding that change in Syria will influence Lebanon. Sayegh called on the Lebanese to learn the lessons of this critical period.
