Lebanese man found killed with wife critically injured beside him

Citizen Mazen Jihad al-Aawar’s body (born 1978) was found inside his Aley home on Tuesday alongside his wife Abir Ghanem al-Aawar who was critically injured.

A pistol, believed to have been the cause of the injury was also found at the scene of the crime.

The Lebanese Red Cross rushed to the site and transported both to a local hospital.

Preliminary investigations launched by the security apparatuses showed that the husband shot his wife then committed suicide.

No further details were provided.
