PROFILE: Minister of Youth and Sports Abdel Motaleb al-Hennawi

This is a brief review over the life of Sports and Youth Minister Abdel Motaleb al-Hennawi:

- Born in Beirut in 1952, married to Rima Saadeh and has two children.

- He graduated from Military School in 1975.

- He worked as information officer in the Arab Deterrent Forces.

- Al-Hennawi worked as security officer of the Sixth Brigade.

- He was assistant Director of Army operations.

- He was commander of the joint forces in the Bekaa region in 1997.

- He was head of the Legal Department at the Ministry of National Defense, and military advisor to President Michel Sleiman.
