Berri says Lebanon should complete air and maritime transport agreements with Albania

Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri declared Thursday that the Lebanese Parliament will allow the new Lebanese government to conclude agreements with Albania to improve air and maritime transport, to prevent double taxation and to protect investments, noting that the Lebanese and Albanian Parliaments will deploy efforts to start bilateral agreements over scientific, cultural and commercial cooperation.

During a joint press conference with his Albanian counterpart Ilir Meta, Berri pointed out that his visit to Albania aims at informing Albanian officials of the situation in the Middle East, where terrorism is targeting several countries, including Lebanon.

Berri added that he reached agreement with Albania’s Meta over the need to reach a political solution for the Syrian crisis and to support the aspirations of the Palestinian people in living in an independent state.
