Sources to LBCI: vehicle of Wadi Khaled victims shot 34 times

The residents of Wadi Khaled, in Akkar, mourned the death of three of their own: Maher Abou Waid and the two brothers Maher and Kasser Abou Zaida. The three men were killed Tuesday night by gunfire from across the border.

Prominent figures of Wadi Khaled urged the Lebanese State to protect the residents.

Following the funeral ceremony, which was attended by the region’s MPs, the residents called for investigating the killing of the three men.

Exclusive security sources told LBCI that the victims’ vehicle was shot 34 times, adding that there is no evidence that they were transporting weapons. The sources stressed that investigations are ongoing and that the car was transferred to Kobayat police department.
