Residents of Jmaylieh town protest establishment of Syrian refugee camp
A meeting was held on Sunday at the church of the Jmaylieh town to protest the establishment of a Syrian refugee camp on the town's outskirts in Iqlim al-Kharroub.

The meeting was attended by a number of mayors as well as Jamal Saad, an official from the Progressive Socialist Party.

The attendees voiced their refusal to the said project due to the dire living conditions endured by the citizens, noting that the town is unable to receive more refugees.

For his part, Saad stressed that PSP leader MP Walid Jumblatt rejects the project, and said: "If there was an intention to establish a Syrian refugee camp, it should be done in a safe zone on the Lebanese-Syrian border".
