Minister Jreij calls on media outlets to abide by professional obligations

Information Minister Ramzi Jreij said Thursday that all Lebanese media outlets, TV channels, radio stations and newspapers have the duty to address the media war waged by the Takifiri groups against Lebanon, by abstaining from covering their manipulative maneuvers.

During a press conference, the minister urged the media outlets to abide by the national and professional obligations while covering the news related to the issue of the abducted soldiers, threatening to take appropriate legal measures in case of failure to commit to the national interest.

In the same context, Jreij called for adopting the same approach as advanced countries in practicing democracy with professional responsibility.
