Fugitive man succumbs to wounds he sustained in Fanar shooting incident

Murad Zoaiter, a Lebanese man wanted on more than 100 arrest warrants, succumbed to wounds he sustained in a shooting incident in the region of Fanar on Friday.

Gunfire echoed in the Fanar neighborhood of al-Zoaitriyeh as soon as reports confirmed his death.

Earlier, the Lebanese army implemented tight security measures in the vicinity of St. Joseph Hospital, preventing any entry to or exit from the building where Murad was hospitalized.

Murad, one of the most wanted drug dealers, had sustained injuries when the security forces raided his house.
