Former Minister Jreissati to LBCI: Temporary committee running Beirut port’s affairs

Member of the Change and Reform bloc, former Minister Salim Jreissati stressed Wednesday that when it comes to national interest, there are no lost causes, noting that all the battles led by the Change and Reform bloc aim at rebuilding a state.

On the case of the Beirut port’s fourth basin, Jreissati told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that the port of Beirut is for all the Lebanese people, explaining that the mandate of the franchise company that had previously managed the port's affairs expired two years ago.

"Since then, it has been managed by a temporary committee, the extended period of which also expired a while ago," he added.
