Geagea: A free democratic regime in Syria supports Lebanon

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said that the current government is rubbing against the grain in the region and in Lebanon. “It is a clinically dead and scandalous government; we only ask for it to leave”.   

At the 7th anniversary of Rafic Hariri’s assassination, Geagea addressed Hezbollah saying “Enough with the black shirts; the freedom bells are ringing, you are our partners and there is no future for illegal weapons”.    

Geagea said that crimes, massacres and horrors committed against innocents in Syria are now put under the slogan of serving the resistance and objection, just like what happens in Lebanon when needed. He said that a free democratic regime in Syria supports Lebanon and guarantees real brotherhood and coordination.      

Geagea called the region’s nations to stop the killing, the shelling and the bloodshed in Syria and to leave the Syrian people to decide their fate in dignity.       

Geagea said, addressing the late Rafic Hariri “Aba Bahaa, your assassination chased them from history and soon from the map”.
