LF MP Zahra says majority of political forces back Lebanon’s cabinet

Lebanese Forces bloc MP Antoine Zahra stressed on Monday that most of the political forces refuse to obstruct the cabinet’s work, saying “a new government cannot be currently formed in the absence of a president”.

In a phone call with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV Show, MP Zahra said Lebanon’s Shi’ite Movement Hezbollah and the Free Patriotic Movement are “raising the ceiling” of their demands.

He noted however that “parties are heading towards stability, especially that Speaker Nabih Berri said he would back the government”.
