Supporters of the Free Patriotic Movement kicked off their movement Wednesday afternoon with convoys from the Mirna Chalouhy highway heading towards Martyrs Square in central Beirut.
The protesters gathered at Sassine Square in the presence of former Ministers Nicolas Sehnaoui and Fadi Abboud, in order to head for the Grand Serail.
In this context, other supporters blocked the Jbeil-Beirut highway in the region of Nahr Ibrahim.
Earlier in the day, FPM official Antoun Souaid told LBCI that they will gather at 4:00 pm at the locations previously set, noting that "the 'zero hour' will be determined by FPM chief MP Michel Aoun."
For his part, FPM General Coordinator Pierre Raffoul said their main objective is to restore their rights and put an end to the continuous violations against the Lebanese laws and the constitution.
