Health Minister Abou Faour: Leaders should not get Lebanese army involved in political disputes
Minister of Health Wael Abou Faour advised on Saturday the Lebanese political leaders not to get the Lebanese army involved in their disputes.

Abou Faour’s comments were made after meeting with Speaker Nabih Berri at his residence in Ain el-Tineh dispatched by Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt.

He also stressed that the rival parties are seeking to find a breakthrough to end the Cabinet deadlock.

"We should have suggestions until the next dialogue session that could at least reactivate the work of the Cabinet and Parliament," Abou Faour added.

Rival parties have so far held two national dialogue sessions at the Parliament and are scheduled to hold on Tuesday a third round with the aim of ending the presidential vacuum.

As for the garbage crisis, Abou Faour said that the plan suggested by Agriculture Minister Akram Chehayeb is "progressing."
