“When the season is ripe we should harvest it to avoid letting it fall on the ground,” Patriarch Rai said at the airport before traveling to Egypt.
Rai reiterated that “the president should be supported by all the parties or else he cannot rule the country.”
Asked about the obstacles that are hindering a meeting set to take place between the four prominent Maronite party heads in Bkerke, the patriarch said that he called for such a meeting but there wasn’t enough time to hold it.
“I believe we can meet next week upon my return from Egypt,” he added.
