Labor Ministry lifts exclusivity, grants citizens right to choose where to complete a transaction

The media bureau of Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi issued a statement on Thursday whereby it said that “following the decision to lift the exclusivity off LibanPost Company, a call for tender was opened to give the citizens the right to choose where they want to complete their transactions.”

“Online Money Transfer (OMT) presented an offer within the determined deadline and a contract has been signed with the company, expected to enter into effect at the beginning of the New Year,” the statement read.

In this regard, the media bureau added that the Lebanese citizens now have three options to choose between when completing their transactions, LibanPost, OMT or the concerned ministry.
