Fayyad: Patriarch’s position biased to national interest

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad said that the latest position of Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros Rai on the events in Syria and Hizbollah's weapons is not biased to Hizbollah but biased to the interest of the nation in general, and the Christians in particular.

During a graduation ceremony for students who passed the official exams organized by the municipality of Talousa, Fayyad paid tribute to the Patriarch’s position, adding “it is the right position to address the challenges Lebanon is facing”.

"Those who are keen on Lebanon’s interest and stability, and those who take the Christians’ interests into account amid the numerous challenges sweeping through the region, should think like the Patriarch”, he added.
