Sheikh al-Assir determined to go on with Sidon sit-in
Sheikh of Sidon's Imam Bilal bin Rabah mosque Ahmed al-Assir told LBCI on Monday that the sit-in in Sidon will go on, adding that he found no other appropriate place to move the sit-in.

Al-Assir warned against escalation if the language of reason does not prevail “since the weapons’ hegemony is no longer bearable”. He said that over 450 merchants informed him that they were not affected by the sit-in.

Al-Assir's rally began on last Wednesday evening on the 27th of June 2012. It has now entered its fifth day amid ongoing efforts by officials to move it elsewhere.
