Mansour: We are against any international project against Syria

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said that Lebanon rejects any international project condemning Syria,adding that the Lebanese state’s position is clear on this matter. “The Lebanese state wants to help Syria overcome its plight and will not stand against it.”

On Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ statehood bid, Adnan told LBC that Lebanon’s role is fundamental in this issue, but the decision goes to the U.N. Council as a whole.

“PM Najib Mikati’s statements on Lebanon’s commitment to international resolutions and agreements are clear”, he said adding that Lebanon will not evade funding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)even if the issue takes some time to resolve.
