Hariri from Bayt al-Wasat: I had to deal with a shadow president
Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Friday that the assassination of his father, former PM Rafic Hariri was a historical turning point for Lebanon.

“Today, after 15 years, we are facing a new turning point,” Hariri said during the celebration held at the Bayt al-Wasat for the 15th anniversary of Rafic Hariri’s assassination.

Hariri also noted that he tried to secure stability for the relationship between the presidency and the premiership.

“However, I dealt with two presidents, and I had to deal with a shadow president,” he stressed.

On another note, Hariri voiced support to early parliamentary elections, calling on everyone “to think calmly.”

Hariri concluded by saying that the naturalization of refugees is “out of question,” adding that the Lebanese constitution “prohibits it.”
