Syndicate of taxi drivers calls for strikes
The general syndicate for Lebanon's taxi drivers called for strikes and demonstrations on the 17th of October.

Head of the Syndicate Marwan Fayad mentioned that the agreement with the previous government to give a monthly allowance for 3 months, subject to renewal, followed by a law that makes gasoline prices fix for taxi drivers was not applied.

Fayad pointed out that the Lebanese drivers are paying all due payments while Syrian drivers are working uncontrollably without even having a permit that the Lebanese state may benefit of.
