Fletcher: Stability in Lebanon crucial amid region’s wave of change

The new British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher highlighted the importance of stability and sovereignty in Lebanon amid the wave of change sweeping over the Arab region.

“I call on all parties to exert assiduous efforts to keep Lebanon stable and to protect it from those who are targeting its stability”, Fletcher said following his meeting with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea.

Fletcher hoped that Lebanese politicians will take decisions that serve Lebanon’s interest regarding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).
