Diab meets United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Grandi

Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab received on Wednesday at the Grand Serail, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, accompanied by UNHCR Regional Director for the MENA region, Ayman Gharaibeh, UNHCR Representative in Lebanon, Mireille Girard, and UNHCR Liaison Officer, Dominique Tohme, in the presence of Ministers Zeina Akar, Ramzi Musharrafieh, Hamad Hassan, Lamia Yammine and Charbel Wehbe, in addition to PM Diab’s Office Head, Judge Khaled Akkari.

The meeting took stock at the material and human damage caused by the Beirut Port explosion. Interlocutors also discussed the possibility of providing assistance to hospitals that were damaged by the blast, so as to meet their urgent needs in light of the Coronavirus outbreak.
