March 14 leaders hold a meeting in Bet Al Wasat
March 14 leaders held a meeting in Bet Al Wasat in the presence of Kataeb President Amine Gemaye, Former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and LF chief Samir Geagea, as well as MPs and other political figures.
Siniora delivered a statement after the meeting on behalf of the leaders, in which he stated that "March 14 condemns the assassination of the head of security, late Brig. Gen. Wissam Al-hassan, who unveiled more than 30 spying networks and exposed the Syrian regime."
The former PM stressed that March 14 strongly opposes the Lebanese authorities' silence over Hezbollah’s involvement in the Syrian crisis.
On the assassination issue, Siniora said that the gathered parties demand that the 4 culprits involved in Hariri's assassination to be handed over to the STL, stressing that "any attempt to conceal them would provide a cover for criminals." "We call for handing over telecom data and referring all political assassinations since 2004 to the STL," he added.
Siniora reiterated March 14's request for the government's resignation, emphasizing that their bloc will continue boycotting all governmental activities until the cabinet is toppled.
