Bassil: The Lebanese must know who put them in the dark

"Every hour of electricity that is cut off from the factories, costs the dollar reserves 32 percent more than the cost of private generators. Each hour of a special generator costs the citizen twenty times more than an hour of state electricity," MP Gebran Bassil tweeted on Sunday morning.

He added: "Every dark moment and every penny extra that the Lebanese incur is the responsibility of the deputies who lied to the people and denied EDL the purchase of fuel to operate the factories that need maintenance, and the Central Bank refuses to spend dollars from EDL funds to buy spare parts."

And concluded: "The Lebanese must know who put them in the dark."
