Energy Minister Fayad meets CEO of Electricité de France

Energy Minister Walid Fayad met on Wednesday with Chairman and CEO of Electricite de France (EDF) Jean-Bernard Lévy in the presence of its senior officials, whereby Lévy confirmed that President Macron's directives require that all assistance be provided to the sector.

The meeting tackled technical aspects of the current cooperation and ways to develop it in future, especially with regard to Master Plan for energy production, transmission, distribution, and management of distribution services as well as the central control system.

Fayad then met with President Emmanuel Macron's advisor for Near Eastern affairs Patrick Durel, where they discussed the latest developments in the region and Lebanon, in light of the French President's recent visit to the Gulf countries.
