Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib said on Saturday that his ministry is still waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Council related to the electoral law to determine whether Lebanese expatriate will vote for the 6 seats allocated to them or for the 128 lawmakers.

Bou Habib made his comments during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that the number of non-resident Lebanese who have registered to vote has reached 225000, adding that they have the potential to influence the results of the parliamentary elections.
 
He further noted that Lebanese consulates and embassies started to look for venues to serve as polling stations.
 
On another note, he stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affair will soon know the exact cost of the elections abroad and will inform the Ministry of the Interior to see how the funds will be secured.
 
“We still have enough time,” he added.
 
Regarding the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he revealed that it was agreed with the Ministry of Finance that there would be a budget in US dollars.
