Head of the Mill Owners Association to LBCI: Central Bank transferred money to seven wheat ships

The head of the Mill Owners Association, Ahmad Hoteit, informed Lebanese on Monday that the Central Bank had transferred money to seven wheat ships and that money would be transferred to three more ships in the following two days, emphasizing that flour is distributed normally.

Hoteit’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s "Nharkom Said" TV show whereby he noted that Turkey will work to provide foodstuffs to the security apparatuses and the private sector.

"A tender will be organized to buy 50,000 tons of wheat," he said, adding that the wheat currently on offer is from Germany and France.
