Activists demand the amendment of nationality law

On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the National Meeting for Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women organized a protest on Sunday.

Protesters gathered in Gebran’s Garden in Beirut Down Town outside ESCWA building to demand the amendment of the Lebanese nationality law, stressing that just like the man, a Lebanese woman married to a foreigner must have the right to grant their children her Lebanese nationality.
