Caretaker Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi confirmed on Tuesday during a phone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah that investigations are underway in the case of the attempt to smuggle Captagon pills to the State of Kuwait.
Mawlawi also expressed his keenness to ensure the security and stability of the State of Kuwait and the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reiterating that “the Lebanese security forces are making great efforts to prevent the export of harm to their brothers.”
For his part, al-Sabbah thanked Mawlawi for the security effort undertaken by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior as well as the security forces, in order to preserve the security of all Arab societies.
