Fayyad meets with ambassador Shea

Caretaker Energy Minister Walid Fayyad met on Friday with US Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea in his ministry office.

The meeting addressed a number of issues, including the recent signing of gas contracts with Egypt and Syria on June 21.

Shea informed Caretaker Minister Fayyad of her recent trip to Washington and the combined support of the US administrations and the US presidency for Lebanon.

She revealed progress made at the level of guarantees regarding the necessary procedures to ensure that the Caesar Act has no negative ramifications, noting that work is underway to enable Lebanon to implement gas contracts due to the positive ramifications on the entire region.
