Sleiman stresses importance of a unified oil sector committee

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met on Thursday with the committee formed to manage the oil sector, and stressed the importance of its unity, hoping that it will place the interest of the nation above all other matters.

The committee briefed Sleiman of its plan of action pertaining to the regulatory decrees in preparation for the tender stage.

On the other hand, Sleiman met with the General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi who informed him of the work of the public prosecution, mainly the judiciary.

On the judicial level, Sleiman received from the president of the Constitutional Council Issam Sleiman a copy of the council's decision to annul the law that promoted General Security inspectors to the rank of Lieutenant.
