Sheikh Abdel Wahed: Measures against Arsal are atrocious

The brother of Sheikh Ahmad Abdel Wahed, Sheikh Alaa Abdel Wahed said on Wednesday that the series of events from Arida, Kweikhat, Tripoli, and Arsal shows that there is a plan seeking to avenge all those linked to supporting the Syrian revolution.

In a press conference held on Wednesday Abdel Wahed described the current measures in Arsal as "atrocious", stressing at the same time the need to deliver those who attacked the LAF to authorities.

Sheikh Alaa Abdel Wahed is the brother of the Late Sheikh Abdel Wahed who alongside his companion Sheikh Mohammad al-Merheb were killed on the 20th of May after failing to stop at an LAF checkpoint while on route to a rally organized by MP Khaled Daher in Halba to commemorate the killing of Future Movement supporters during clashes in 2008.
