Lebanon's Ministry of Telecommunications says no danger to cellular users' lines or networks

The Ministry of Telecommunications reassured cellular users, clarifying that the codes that may appear on their mobile phone screens alongside the names of the Touch and Alfa networks do not indicate any concern about potential phone hacking.

In a statement, it explained that "the codes 05 415 and 08 415 belong to well-known networks in Lebanon, while the code 30 280, which may occasionally appear on the phone screen, belongs to a private Cypriot network that cannot be accessed."

The ministry confirmed that there is no danger to users' lines or to the cellular networks.
