Hariri urges the formation of a government to oversee upcoming elections

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri offered on Thursday condolences to the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the death of Prince Bader bin Abdel Aziz.

On Lebanon, PM Hariri asserted the necessity of forming a government to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections on their due time.

PM Hariri hailed the stances of President Michel Sleiman and his insistence on carrying out the elections on their due time, considering that he is implementing the constitution and the national pact.

Lebanon's rival parties have so far failed to agree on an electoral draft-law that governs the upcoming parliamentary elections set for next June.

The March 8 coalition is holding on to the Orthodox proposal as the only alternative to the 1960 law, while it was rejected by President Sleiman, Caretaker PM Najib Mikati, the Future bloc, the National Struggle Front of MP Walid Jumblatt, and the March 14 alliance.
