MP Frangieh: "A government of technocrat is out of the question"

Marada Party Leader MP Sleiman Frangieh said that he understood the stances of his allies in regards to the binding parliamentary consultations and their nomination of Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam, adding that "a government of technocrat is out of the question" for the time being.

During his meeting with a delegation of the Marada party in Kesserwan, Frangieh pointed out that the statements of Salam are binding for all Lebanese parties, stressing that he will participate in the ministerial consultations.

On another note, Frangieh said that "the arms of the resistance are a right" at least until the end of the Arab-Israeli conflict since they achieved balance in the country, and highlighted the need to cooperate with the Lebanese State.
