Dib to LBC: Clause related to STL funding contravenes the constitution

Change and Reform Bloc MP Hikmat Dib said on Thursday that the position of his bloc and Hezbollah on the STL funding is clear, adding that “the clause related to the funding of the STL contravenes the laws, the constitution and the Lebanese sovereignty. “We are not in a confrontation with PM Najib Mikati,” Dib elaborated.

Dib told Nharkom Said TV show that his bloc calls for reconsidering the state tax policy and providing health care coverage for all the segments of society, adding that “the cabinet decision on the wage increase targets 29% of workers while the bloc’s plan in this regard is more comprehensive.”

Dib revealed that “an increase in the VAT and gasoline prices was proposed; the people cannot tolerate any additional increase.”
