Ghosn: Shura Council’s decision reflects the position of the GLC

Head of the General Labor Confederation Ghassan Ghosn said on Friday that the Shura Council’s decision reflects the position of the General Labor Confederation.

The Shura Council rejected the draft decree on wage increase on Thursday on the grounds that the cabinet cannot increase wages as proposed and the exemption of salaries above LL 1.8 million from the wage increase violates the law.

Ghosn told Nharkom Saiid TV show that the General Labor Confederation welcomed the Shura Coucil’s decision, adding that Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas is drafting a decree in line with the law.
