Former LF partisans committee calls for a state of emergency in Lebanon

The committee of Former Lebanese Forces partisans urged on Tuesday President Michel Sleiman to follow up on the case of Lebanese hostages in Syria's Aazaz in order to put an end to "this tragedy".

Following its periodic meeting, the committee called for the declaration of a military state of emergency in which the Lebanese Armed Forces would be tasked "to safeguard the security in Lebanon and on the border."

The committee also slammed the performance of Lebanese leaders on all levels, saying that Lebanon's economy and stability are on a constant plunge.

On Syria, the committee condemned the Arab League and the international community stances over the bloodshed taking place in Syria.
