Israel’s army claims strikes hit Hezbollah-linked fuel stations

The Israeli army said it carried out strikes on fuel stations it claims are used to finance Hezbollah, describing the targets as part of the group’s economic infrastructure in Lebanon.

In a statement released Wednesday, the army said its forces struck fuel stations belonging to the “Al-Amana” company over the past 24 hours.

According to the statement, the targeted stations generate millions of dollars in revenue that allegedly support Hezbollah’s activities. It added that the group uses accounts linked to the stations through the Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association to fund its operations.

It said the strikes were intended to deal a “significant blow” to Hezbollah’s military capabilities and disrupt its economic network “embedded within civilian areas.”
