Lebanese Army arrests Iraqi man accused of impersonating security official using forged documents

The Lebanese Army Command’s Directorate of Orientation announced that Army Intelligence arrested an Iraqi national identified as “T.N.” for impersonating an Iraqi security official on Lebanese territory following a security monitoring and surveillance operation.

In a statement, the army said preliminary investigations showed that the suspect had used forged documents. Authorities also confiscated the military uniform he was using.

The army added that investigations are ongoing under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
