Grand Mufti Qabbani slams attempts to attack Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti

Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani slammed on Sunday all statements against Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al al-Sheikh.

In this context, Mufti Qabbani issued a statement whereby he warned against attempts to attack Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti, noting that "it affects all the Muslim community in the world".

On Thursday, Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti praised the stance of senior Muslim cleric Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi against Iran and Hezbollah, Al Arabiya television reported.

Sheikh Qaradawi, president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, slammed last Saturday the Lebanese Shiite group for its military intervention in the Syrian battles and called for Jihad against it.
