Facebook Apologizes Over "Year In Review" Feature

The social networking giant apologized for the ‘Year in Review’ feature, after receiving a complaint saying it brought up bad memories.

The app brought up painful memories for Eric Meyer, one of the users, who lost his six-year-old daughter to cancer earlier this year.

In response to Meyer, Jonathan Gheller, product manager for the ‘Year in Review’ app apologized saying: "[The app] was awesome for a lot of people, but clearly in this case we brought him grief rather than joy".

He added that the Facebook team would take Meyer's concerns into consideration.
