Parents' Anxiety, Depression May Lead to Kids Being Fussy Eaters
Children are more likely to become fussy eaters if parents experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy period, a new study shows.

Parents were to fill out a questionnaire testing their levels of anxiety and depression during the mid-pregnancy period, and then again when their child turns three or four years old.

The research reveals the strong connection between a mother’s mental health during pregnancy and her child’s fussy eating habits at a later age.

Almost 30% of kids were categorized as “fussy eaters” at age three.

On the other hand, fathers’ psychological state does not directly affect a child during pregnancy, but a dad’s anxiety and depression could disturb the child’s eating habits later, which is explained through parental factors.
